Hospital Visitor Information & Guidelines

Iranian Hospital Dubai - VIP ward

General & Specialized Wards

*(Except ICU, CCU, VIP, and Operation Theaters)*

  • Visiting Hours: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Visitors are welcome during the official visiting hours when it is convenient for both patients and staff.
  • At the end of visiting hours, an announcement will be made over the PA system. All visitors are kindly asked to leave.
  • Special visiting hours may be arranged with the nurse in charge.
  • Visits are unrestricted for relatives of patients in critical or terminal conditions.
  • No age restrictions apply.

Visitor Hygiene & Health

  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after visits (45–60 seconds with soap and water).
  • Hand sanitizers (alcohol-based hand rubs) are also acceptable.
  • Do not visit if you show any signs of infection such as fever, cold, or cough.
  • Visitors exposed to communicable diseases (TB, flu, measles, etc.) should avoid visiting.

Visiting Etiquette

  • Limit visitors to 2–3 people at a time and keep visits brief.
  • Children may visit if accompanied by an adult; however, they are not allowed to play in hospital corridors.
  • Do not sit on the patient’s bed, touch wounds, or handle medical equipment.
  • No smoking or mobile phone use is allowed in patient care areas.
  • Flowers are welcome except in ICU or for patients allergic to pollen.
  • Please leave the room when the healthcare team needs to provide treatment.
  • Bringing food for patients requires prior approval from the nurse in charge.

Overnight Stay

Immediate family members or guardians may stay overnight with the patient in:

  • Private rooms
  • Semi-private rooms (only if the other bed is unoccupied)

Approval from the nurse in charge is required. Sleeper chairs will be provided based on availability. Visitors must not sit or lie on hospital beds, except for parents of children under 12 years old.

Special Units

Iranian Hospital Dubai - CCU

ICU & CCU

  • Visiting Hours: 10:00–12:00 & 17:00–20:00
  • Visits are limited to 15 minutes per hour.
  • Children under 14 require special permission to visit.

VIP Wards

Visiting hours are flexible, but all general safety rules apply. The nurse in charge may request visitors to leave or provide identification at any time.

Operation Theaters (OT)

Visits are not permitted unless written permission is obtained from the Hospital Director for special occasions.

Waiting Areas

Comfortable waiting lounges are available for families and friends, including spaces for baby changing and feeding.

Patient Status Information

Patients have the right to confidentiality. They may choose who can receive information about their condition or restrict visitors. For ICU patients, inquiries will be accepted from immediate family members only.

Parking

Visitor parking is available with more than 200 spaces within the hospital premises.

Taxis

Taxi booking is available through the Customer Service Desk.

Gift Shop

Located on the ground floor near the main entrance, offering gifts, magazines, confectionery, and photo services.

Coffee Shop

Located by the main entrance, serving a variety of drinks, cookies, and cakes.

Lost & Found

Located at the Security Office by the main entrance. Security staff can assist with reporting or reclaiming lost items.

ATMs

Available in the main lobby of the new building and outside the old building.

Outpatient Pharmacy

Located on the ground floor, open 24/7 for prescriptions issued by Iranian Hospital doctors.

Patient Financial Services

Located on the ground floor at the IP Billing Counter. Billing officers can assist with all financial inquiries.

Customer Service Department

The Patient Relations Officer serves as a liaison between patients and the hospital, managing complaints and ensuring satisfaction.

Your Health Record

Your medical record is a confidential document used to plan and monitor your care. Information will only be shared with third parties (e.g., insurance companies, government agencies) with your written consent. Data may be shared with healthcare providers involved in your ongoing care unless you request otherwise.
